Free Exhibit Reception & Awards Ceremony: National Juried Art Show

The CAC displays another year of exceptional talent from across the country at the National Juried Arts Show (NJAS.)

The NJAS exhibit will be displayed September 3rd – 29th at the CAC gallery, Monday- Friday from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. The opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on September 3rd, 6:00-8:00 pm, hosted by the Douglas County Art Guild (DCAG.) Refreshments will be served, and the event is free and open to the public.

Come view the presentation of prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Honorable Mention, and the DCAG award for a particularly remarkable work of art.

Come back throughout September to tour the exhibit and cast your vote for your favorite artwork for the People's Choice award.

Each year, the CAC hosts a National Juried Art Show featuring a wide variety of artwork from across the country. This is an excellent opportunity for artists to feature their work in Douglas County while supporting the CAC’s non-profit arts mission. Entry fees are low, and all forms of art will be considered: The more variety the better!

2026 National Juried Art Show Call for Artists

Costs and Deadlines:
The CAC is excited to present the National Juried Arts Show 2026 (NJAS). Artists from around the country are encouraged to submit up to three artworks each for a chance to win one of six cash prizes. The registration deadline is June 19, 2026. Registration is $40 (CAC members $35) to submit up to three pieces for consideration into the final exhibit.

Judging and Prizes:
Three accredited judges will use a point system to determine the top cash awards. Prizes will include 1st place for $500, 2nd place for $250, 3rd place $150, Honorable Mention for $100, and a People’s Choice award for $75. The Douglas County Art Guild will hold a private jury to determine the recipient of a $100 cash award. Award recipients will be announced on the night of the reception, and the People’s Choice award will be announced at the end of the exhibit.

Timing and Logistics:
Artists should download the NJAS prospectus from this page and follow the guidelines to submit up to three works of art. Artists will be notified with acceptance emails by Monday, July 13th. By the end of August, artists who have been accepted must have their work prepared and ready to hang for the exhibit. The final collection of artworks will be on display September 3rd to September 29th, weekdays 9 am – 5 pm.
