The Black Educational History Exhibit (BEHE) presents a festival celebrating black history. Juneteenth commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas in 1865 by Union General Gordon Granger and 2000 troops who took possession of the state and enforced the emancipation of it’s slaves.

Presented by the City of Douglasville. Douglasville’s annual holiday event will feature a Christmas Parade with Santa Claus, live entertainment, children’s activities, and lighting ceremony Friday evening and Breakfast with Santa Claus Saturday morning in the Douglasville Downtown Conference Center
